Building a successful career in any field not only involves passing exams, it also requires the person to develop skills in communication, time management, negotiation, management, assertiveness, leadership, organization, presentation, research, audit, publication, writing CV and appearing in interview. In addition, acquiring knowledge in work ethics and legal matters are sometimes relevant. One needs to be assertive and continue with self development throughout life. A proper planning at an early stage of your career might save you lots of energy, time and money, and make your progress through the career relatively smooth. It is important to decide what your primary goal is and stick to the right path to reach that goal. To do that you need to understand the factors in life that might distract you from reaching your primary goal and avoid them from distracting you from reaching your primary goal in life.
These skills are also required to build a good Medical career besides passing exams such as MBBS, DGO, MD, MS, DNB, MRCOG, MRCP, MRCS etc.
Therefore, people aspiring to be highly successful in their profession should develop skills in these areas.
“There are people who make things happen,
there are people who watch things happen,
and there are people who wonder what happened.
To be successful, you need to be a person who makes things happen”
James A Lovell
